Youth Support Services (YSS) is a committee within the Twin Falls Optimist Club.  YSS was established to meet the immediate need of low-cost (not requiring Board approval) basic provisions for children/youth in our community.  Each year we assist nearly 200 youth fulfilling requests such as winter boots, shoes/socks, backpacks and school supplies.  We have provided clothes for children who may have been displaced from their homes, as well as pajamas, warm blankets and bedding and other personal/hygiene necessities.  In addition, each year the Optimist Club, donates and sponsors prizes for the area High School Drug-Free/Safe Alternative graduation celebrations. The YSS program is financially supported through our clubs fund-raising efforts and generous contributions from our community.

Our mission is community service and our focus is to enhance the well-being of our local children/youth.  Simplifying a quick and speedy delivery method to meet the variety of needs of our children that may be unmet due to family hardship or other at-risk situations is our goal. We ask for counselors and caseworkers to act as our screeners. If you know of a child in need please contact their school counselors.  A third-party wall is required. We look forward to the opportunity to help the youth in our community.
