This event is held on the Saturday after Labor Day in September at City Park from 4 pm to 7 pm. Each food vendor must provide at least 500 bite-size samples for the public to enjoy their delicious food. Cost for the general public is $10 for adults, $5 for students with IDs, and kids under 6 are free with a paying adult. The categories for the food vendors are wings, chili, BBQ, Dutch oven, dessert, and an open category, the judges’ votes on a winner in each category for a cash prize and the general public votes on a people’s choice award for another cash prize. There are activities for the students to participate in to have a chance to win funds for their school activities. Between $7,000 and $9,000 is giving out to various schools each year.
